FPT Software's digital transformation service was recognized as a key industrial product in 2018 by the Hanoi People's Committee, with the validity period of 3 years (from November 30, 2018 to November 30, 2021).
The Hanoi People's Committee decided to recognize the city's key industrial products in 2018 for 61 products of 36 enterprises. FPT Software's digital transformation service is one of the 9 enterprises whose products are in the Top 10 Hanoi key industrial products in 2018.
Digital transformation for businesses and organizations is a process of switching from traditional to digital models, by applying new technologies such as big data, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, etc., and changing their operating methods, leadership, work processes, corporate culture, etc. Digital transformation brings many benefits such as reducing operating costs, reaching more customers in the longer term, leading to faster and more accurate decision-making, all because of the timely and smooth reporting system. Thereby, operational efficiency and competitiveness of businesses organizations are also enhanced.
Currently, FPT Software has been co-developing IoT technology platforms with the world's leading corporations in the field of aircraft manufacturing, industrial production, and energy. For example, with Airbus, FPT will provide 500 programmers to develop solutions to help improve business efficiency of the aviation industry based on the open data technology platform for Skywise aviation. Both sides will also invest in providing application programming interfaces (APIs) for third parties to develop Skywise applications, convert and maintain applications on Skywise.
In Japan, FPT Software has successfully implemented a number of projects providing cloud-based services and solutions to help customers improve their business efficiency, such as the project for developing smart TV applications, the project for shifting applications to Microsoft Sharepoint Online, Amazon Web Services, and converting applications into Software as a Service (Saas) for some leading companies in Japan such as Toshiba, Calsonic Kansei, Gulliver, etc.
Previously, we were the first IT company in Vietnam to buy a 90% stake in Intellinet, one of the fastest growing technology consulting companies in the US. On November 2, in Hanoi, in the presence of French Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, and Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, FPT Corporation and Schneider Electric Group signed a strategic partnership agreement for developing and deploying the EcoStruxure technology platform, contributing to promoting digital transformation in the 4.0 technology revolution.
FPT is one of the first strategic partners of Schneider Electric Group in Asia to develop and deploy the EcoStruxure platform – an open and interactive IoT technology platform that helps businesses and organizations optimize their management and minimize their use of energy in buildings, data centers and production plants.
On January 26, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the plan on development major industrial products in Hanoi until 2020, with orientation to 2025.
The goal of the project is to establish the title "Hanoi key industrial product" known by domestic and foreign consumers and business community as a reputable brand.
The decision to recognize Hanoi key industrial products in 2018 and the Top 10 Hanoi key industrial products in 2018 has been issued by the City People's Committee leader on the basis of reviewing the proposal in the middle of November 2018.
The Evaluation Council for selecting key industrial products in Hanoi was established on June 26, 2018 with 15 members on board: leaded by Mr. Lê Hồng Thăng, Director of Department of Industry and Trade, as the Chairman of the Council and Mr. Đàm Tiến Thắng, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade, as the Vice Chairman of the Council. Mr. Đặng Vũ Tuấn, Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications of Hanoi, is one of the members of this Council as well.
